Berkeley Plantation, one of the first great estates in America, is believed to be the oldest three-story brick mansion in Virginia and is the ancestral home to two Presidents of the United States: William Henry Harrison, his grandson, and Benjamin Harrison his great-great-grandson. It is now a museum.
The house is reputedly haunted by the ghost of a young girl and a man, believed to be her father. Outside the phantom of a Union soldier and drummer boy have been sighted.
Other phenomena include the sounds of footsteps, the chandelier moves, and fruit levitates.
